A steadfast advocate, Miguel A. Sarkis is a personal injury attorney eager to assist victims lacking the necessary resources to prosecute their injury claims against multi-billion-dollar insurance companies. Miguel joined Buckingham Barrera in 2019. He is an Associate in the Houston office and practices law throughout Texas.

A native Texan, Miguel was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, and is fully fluent in Spanish. Prior to his law career, Miguel worked in both chambers of the Texas State Legislature to enact meaningful policies not only in his community but throughout Texas. Miguel’s legislative experience instilled in him an unyielding determination and desire to advocate for wronged individuals in need of justice. Miguel takes pride in the opportunity to navigate clients through the complicated process of seeking legal recourse for their injuries with compassion and diligence.

Miguel is a graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University where he served as president of the Hispanic Law Students Association. Miguel graduated summa cum laude as a member of the top 5% of his class. During his legal education, Miguel was recognized for his academic achievement and community outreach by being awarded the Mexican American Bar Association Scholarship, the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary – Charitable Fund Scholarship, the Houston Bar Association – Appellate Section Writing Contest Scholarship, TMSL Dean Scholar’s Award, and was inducted as a Blask Fellow to the Federal Bar Association – Southern District of Texas Chapter.

During his hours of leisure, Miguel enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, attending concerts and music festivals.
