Isaac Faz is Of Counsel for Buckingham Barrera Vega in Dallas, Texas and practices throughout Texas. Isaac’s career has been focused on being involved in the community and an advocate for citizens, the elderly, and students.
Prior to joining Buckingham Barrera Vega, Isaac’s experience included serving as a Presidential Appointee by President Barack Obama in The Executive Office of The President, in The Office of the United States Trade Representative under Ambassador Ron Kirk. He also served as Chief Legislative Counsel, and Public and Governmental Affairs, at Dallas College – Texas’ largest community college system.
A son of immigrants, Isaac is fluent in Spanish and began his career at Univision in Dallas. Isaac additionally has worked as a Land Bank Attorney at Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson and as an Associate State Director for AARP in Austin, TX.
Isaac’s community and advocacy experience also includes working for Ambassador Ron Kirk on his U.S. Senate bid in Texas, co-managed Representative Rafael Anchia’s campaign for Texas State Representative and served as Representative Anchia’s Communication Director during Texas’ 79th Legislative Session.
He served as Co-Chair of Dallas ISD’s Future Facility Task Force, which submitted and passed the largest bond in DISD history. Additionally, he served as a fellow in Leadership Dallas, State Bar of Texas LeadershipSBOT, LeadershipISD and on the board of the Concilio. Currently is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and serves on the board of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association and the Workers Defense Project.
Isaac attended Dallas College, received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin, studied law in Madrid, Spain, and received his Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, TX. He lives in Dallas, Texas and has two daughters.
